The Friends of Butser Ancient Farm is a charity whose main constitutional objective is to support the educational and research work of the farm. Membership is open to all those who wish to support Butser Ancient Farm, to promote interest in all aspects of its work, or who simply want to be part of a unique project.
Because it is independent, the Ancient Farm relies upon and needs grants, donations and sponsorship to support further research and development. For a modest subscription you can become a friend, supporting the work of the Ancient Farm, helping to maintain its objectives, and enjoying the following privileges:-
Above all, if you are able to support this unique project in a practical way, your help as a volunteer would be most welcome, especially as a committee member or as a site guide. The Friends is a registered charity, and therefore can reclaim tax on subscriptions given under Gift Aid. A quarter of the subscription of members paying tax at the basic rate can be realised at no extra cost to the member.
